The Rundown: Wonder Woman must find the source of the mind control attacks and it might be someone she least suspects.

Wonder Woman confronts Max Lord in the wake of the prison riot and discovers that the villain might not be using his mind control powers after all. Etta confirms this with Diana, but something continues to bother the Amazon about the mind control attacks happening all over.

After returning home and spending time with her new neighbor, Diana awakens to discover she is under attack by parademons. Unfortunately for Wonder Woman, there is more to the attack than she knows.

The Story: There is a part of the story where the reader starts to get a sense of where it is going next, but Mariko Tamaki does a great job of making the journey there interesting and engaging moment to moment. The plot moves really well and I really enjoyed the slow build to the cliffhanger conclusion. There are some really interesting themes of control weaved throughout and what happens to Diana at the end of this issue brings those issues front and center to create a compelling problem that I am interested in seeing how Wonder Woman overcomes.

The Art: Mikel Janin delivers some beautiful visuals throughout. One of the things that makes the art so striking is how Janin has Diana move through a panel. The action is fantastic and the fight sequence towards the end is filled with energy and movement.
