The Rundown: Diana finds herself face to face with a man who has a dark secret about Themyscira.

Etta Candy is waiting for Diana so that they can see a new exhibit about Themyscira when she is approached by a pale stranger who wants to talk to her. At the same time, Diana finds herself facing off against a group of bank robbers who are holding people hostage. In the aftermath, Diana reschedules her time with her friend and the two have their plans interrupted by work.

When Diana goes to the exhibit alone, she knows she is being followed by the same pale stranger. A stranger who introduces himself and gives her some interesting history about her home. History that will shake the very foundations of Diana’s beliefs. When she and the man get into a fight, she learns quickly the lengths he will go to in order to push her emotionally. Including a dire warning about the fate of the Amazons.

The Story: Conrad and Cloonan do a great job of teasing a big event for Diana and the Amazons. The new character introduced in the story is interesting as well both in demeanor and motivation. The action is thrilling and the story does a great job of showcasing some of Diana’s conflicts upon returning from the dead. I am definitely interested in seeing where this plot goes next.

The Art: MacDonald delivers some thrilling visuals throughout the issue. Every page is filled with great imagery and beautiful detail.
