The Rundown: Sara must embrace the darkness and the light in order to survive.

Sara’s arm has been severed and Irons is in control of the Witchblade. Unfortunately, he cannot wield its power fully until he takes the heart of the angel that is currently healing Sara’s injured partner Michael. Seeing his prize before him, Irons goes after Sara who defends the creature with her life as she reaches out for any help.
She receives some in the form of a creature from the darkness given to her by Jackie Estacado. As she fights to defend herself and her partner, the angel reveals to her that there is only way that she can take and control the Witchblade. One way that will bring the battle to a close and leave one of them beaten and battered while the other becomes the one who will finally wield the Witchblade.
The Story: Bennett brings this arc to an explosive, satisfying and entertaining conclusion. There is amazing action throughout the story and I love the confrontation between Sara and Irons. There is a great suspense throughout the plot and everything comes to an explosive head that leaves the characters in an interesting space where the ramifications of what happened make me excited to see what happens next in this series.
The Art: Cafaro delivers fantastic art throughout the issue. The art is beautifully detailed and filled with great character moments and action.
