The Rundown: Sara faces the final trials and discovers the prize Irons is willing to kill for.

Sara emerges in the Harrowing and fights to free the spirit of Jackie Estacado. After she releases his spirit, he awakens in the real world knowing something is different. As Sara continues her trial, she finds herself in the presence of her dead father and taken through a journey of her life where everything works for her until she realizes that changing her life affects the lives of others.

After breaking free from the illusion, Sara discovers the real reason Irons sent her into the trial and she makes a dangerous choice. One that will send Irons into a rage that will pit her against Nottingham and could ultimately cost her the Witchblade itself.

The Story: Bennett crafts a thrilling, exciting and engaging story in this issue. Sara’s journey continues to engage me and bring me back for each issue. Her internal conflicts are handled brilliantly and I love the expansion of her world with the interludes with Jackie. I loved the action in this issue and everything culminates in a fantastic cliffhanger that makes me excited to see what happens next.

The Art: Cafaro delivers beautifully detailed art on every page of this issue. I love the visual style of this series and enjoy taking in every detail on the page.
