The Rundown: John tries to stay out of the madness caused by Dr. Mayhem, but a voice in his head could be the deciding factor.

John is determined to stay out of the current trouble being caused by the returned Dr. Mayhem. Unfortunately, his dead former sidekick Reddy is making things more difficult not only by goading him into action, but also telling him some uncomfortable truths about their past. When another former vigilante arrives, things get tense when he tries to offer her a way out of her abusive relationship.

Beneath the city, Dr. Mayhem launches a biological attack on commuters that kills dozens and infects even more. With things getting worse in the city and a message left for Crimson Justice, John returns home to suit up one last time to protect his city.

The Story: Tieri crafts an engaging, entertaining story in this issue. There is a great buildup of tension throughout the story and I love how John finds himself not only confronting the truth about Reddy, but also the mess that has been left in the wake of his own inaction. A compelling, thought provoking and interesting story from start to finish.

The Art: Miranda delivers fantastic art throughout the story with beautifully detailed pages and panels.
