Universal is gearing up for a second remake of Scarface and the studio has found a director to bring it to life.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal has hired director Luca Guadagnino to helm a new take on the story. The original Scarface was directed by Howard Hawks in 1932. Brian DePalma reimagined the story and set it in the world of 1980’s drug trafficking starring Al Pacino as Tony Montana. Little is known about the new version other than it is set in Los Angeles.
