At the same time, Nate Grey is asking for advice from his prisoners. After talking to Kitty Pryde, he decides to seek council from of all people, Apocalypse. While he still hates the genocidal mutant, he listens and makes a decision that wipes out holy cities around the globe from Vatican City to Mecca. It’s a move that enrages Kitty, but Nate ignores her because she had the chance to argue against what he did and refused. It’s a pretty extreme move on Nate’s part and shows that maybe he doesn’t have everything plotted out as well as he thinks.

Jean’s team continues to investigate a new island that used to an oil rig and they can sense that something isn’t right. In his lab, Beast is looking for the person who stole his sample of the mutant cure and when he finally sees the surveillance footage, he begins to see if he can recognize anything about the thief.

The New Mutants have convinced Madrox to help them. It also means that he will be helping Legion, who is the one that kept him locked away for months forcing him to make dupes. Their reunion is awkward to say the least and no one knows if they can really trust Legion, but he does know more about the situation than anyone else.

With the fight continuing to rage and Lorna confronting her father about his hand in it, Betsy Braddock confronts her former love Warren and uses his feelings for her to try and shock him awake. Unfortunately, she may have made things worse when the dust settles.

A consistently interesting story that is fun to read. The Warren/Psylocke dynamic was executed well by the writers and the reveal at the end is going to make some pretty dynamic drama in the next issue.

The art in the issue is absolutely amazing. Both the characters and the action look great throughout.
