The Rundown: The Winter Soldier program will discover that their hold on Logan is not as secure as they thought.

In the aftermath of failing his last mission, the Winter Soldier is returned to the lab. Unfortunately, the mental attack he took causes his brain to begin flooding with memories of who and what he was. As the doctors try to sedate and control him, his instincts take over and Wolverine begins tearing through the doctors and staff.
When Doctor Prostovich finally arrives, she is able to say the code word to stop his rampage and decides to bring him down into the lower levels of the building to recondition his mind and regain control of him. A procedure that will bring him face to face with a powerful entity.
The Story: I love how beautifully dark this story continues to get. Condon subverts everything I know and love about the X-Men in ways where I continue to be shocked and surprised at where he takes the story and what gets introduced within it. I loved the contrast between Logan’s rampage and the fight between the wolf and the bear and there is an amazing level of tension throughout the story right before it blew me away with its final reveal.
The Art: Alessandro Cappuccio delivers stunning imagery on every page of this issue. The battle between the wolf and bear is visually stunning and visceral. The brutality of those moments are epic in visual scope. I also loved the final image and how dark it is.
