The Rundown: Gwen Stacy deals with the death of her husband as the truth about Mysterio is revealed.

In the aftermath of Harry Osborn being killed by Kraven, Peter is on the run and Gwen is left to pick up the pieces alone. Fortunately, she is not completely alone as it is revealed that she is part of something bigger. Something that has known for a long time that the world is not what it should be. Something mysterious.
As Gwen recounts her past with her father, her thoughts move forward to falling in love with Harry and keeping the secret of her ties to Mysterio a secret as her organization continues to investigate the changes in the world. Changes that will require her to move in the background to find a way to prepare the world for the truth as time continues to run out.
The Story: Hickman continues to blow me away with how brilliantly complex and inventive this series is and this issue is no exception. I love the intrigue throughout this issue and was shocked and delighted by the reveals and what they mean for the bigger world of this story. The progression of the story was amazing and I had no idea where events were going, allowing me to fully immerse myself in this narrative as well as making me excited to see what happens next. This is what I have been hoping for in this series and Hickman absolutely delivers.
The Art: Checchetto delivers some beautifully detailed and thoroughly compelling art throughout the issue. The art beautifully captures the dark, mysterious tone of the story and enhances it.
