Tony Stark is missing and the rest of the heroes including the Avengers and their Reserve Members are fighting the rogue Escapers all over the world.

The Controller is fighting Rhodey and Janet and both heroes are wondering how he’s managed to control so many people. What they don’t know is that he is in control of one very important person, Stark Industries head of security Bethany. Andy is attacked by Bethany when he begins working on a way to pull Amanda and everyone else out of the simulation. When Janet gets Controller to break his concentration, Bethany is free long enough to hand her weapon over to Andy and have him stun her.

Bain moves in to back up Rhodey and get some good PR for themselves. At the same time, Tony Stark is living his best life in a dream world created by his AI mother who is going after his actual mother and her attempts to break him out of his delusions. Machine Man manages to hack the simulation and rescue Amanda. When Tony’s biological mother tries to free her son’s mind, the AI in the form of his adoptive mother decides to deliver her son a harsh truth about his existence.

Dan Slott and Jim Zub continue to explore the interesting ramifications of Tony Stark’s return with the unexpected conclusion of this issue. The story itself is interesting and engaging. I liked the dialogue and the tone of Tony’s delusions are perfect call backs to the character’s history and Amanda’s resolve and determination are great to see throughout this issue.

Valerio Schiti and Paolo Villanelli collaborate to create some beautiful art and the visual styles complement each other perfectly in this issue.
