The Rundown: In a prequel tie-in to the War of the Realms event series, the Dark Elf Malekith has made his way to the land of the Frost Giants to recruit something for a very specific mission. In order to neutralize his one weakness, iron, Malekith recruits the dragon Sadurang to go to Earth to destroy Tony Stark aka Iron Man.

Tony is still dealing with the aftermath of the eScape debacle and his own questionable actions within the simulation. Something Rhodey tries to help him through with little luck. Tony decides that he needs to engineer a solution rather than deal with the issue head on and when the dragon decides to attack Stark Unlimited looking for the Golden Avenger and what it believes are his mountains of gold, Stark is nowhere to be found. Will Tony make it in time to save his friends and company under siege from a giant dragon and what will happen if he succeeds?

The Story: As a prequel to War of the Realms, this issue does a great job of connecting that event, which focuses on Thor for the most part, to Tony in an interesting and clever way. Gail Simone is able to craft a smart, engaging and often humorous issue with this side story and does a great job of balancing the ongoing storylines of the series with the event. Tie-In issues for an event comic can be hit or miss at times based on when they come out in relation to the main story, but this one works by keeping it intimate.

The Art: Paolo Villanelli has some great art in this issue. The style is different from what was previous established in the series, but there are some great panels in this issue. All of the sequences with the dragon look great, especially the action.
