According to a report from Deadline, three actors from the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be reprising their roles as cameras begin to roll on Captain Marvel starring Brie Larson and Jude Law.

The actors coming back to reprise their roles in the new movie are Clark Gregg (Phil Coulson), Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace) and Djimon Hounsou (Korath the Pursuer).

Phil-Coulson-Watch

As its been previously reported, Captain Marvel will take place in the 1990’s so the addition of these characters and actors makes sense in the world of the MCU as well as the setting of the film. Phil Coulson (Gregg) was a staple of the Marvel movies before his death in the first Avengers film. He made appearances in Iron Man, Iron Man 2 and Thor before he went onto being resurrected for the series Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

With Captain Marvel’s plot including the alien Kree, it would make sense that the ruthless Kree warrior Ronan the Accuser (Pace) would make an appearance as well. His desire to destroy and cleanse the universe might draw him to Earth and could take the efforts of Captain Marvel to stop him.

KorathGrabTheOrb-GOTG

Korath the Pursuer (Hounsou)) is Ronan’s number one henchman and his pursuit of Mar-Vell could be what leads the alien warrior to hide on Earth in the first place.

Of course all of this is speculation, but having these three actors reprising their roles in this film is an exciting concept.
