Consumed by the Black Winter, Sif is unable to see either Thor or Galactus anywhere. The pair continue to fight inside the darkness until they are separated and Thor offered the chance to view his true.

Inside the darkness, Thor refuses to back down or give in causing the creature to release both he and Galactus. As Thor threatens the creature with destruction, he learns from it that its motives are different than what he believed and that Galactus has been hiding a huge secret. A secret that changes everything about the devour of worlds.

The Story: Donny Cates nails the determination of Thor as a character and this issue was entertaining both in the action and the dialogue. Cates takes the reader on an interesting and engaging journey in this issue. Not only does the story take some unexpected turns throughout, but it’s so well done that I didn’t want it to end. The ending of this issue was absolutely brilliant. I enjoyed every moment leading up to it and when it came, I was shocked, surprised and giddy with anticipation about what is to come.

The Art: Nic Klein does a great job with the art in this issue. There are some great visual moments throughout and Thor’s battle within the Black Winter is beautifully drawn.
