The Rundown: Geralt’s party continues to hunt the vampire as the Witcher reveals secrets he’s discovered on their journey.

Geralt takes his two charges into a nearby abandoned house to rest for the night while he makes his way out into the forest with a concoction he needs for the mutant wolves that have been hunting and attacking them. After waiting for the wolves to return, Geralt takes them down and gets both the wench and young boy on the move again after revealing what he knows about Tila.
As they make it to another location, the boy finds himself falling into the water and Tila is confused as to why Geralt won’t rescue the boy until the two of them set out to continue hunting the vampire, eventually find him and force him to reveal his true secret.
The Story: Spurrier crafts an engaging thriller in this issue. I always love seeing Geralt use his head and this issue gives the Witcher great moments of insight and cunning that I appreciate. Spurrier does a great job of revealing information to the reader in direct and subtle ways that allow for surprises throughout the issue. I really enjoyed the reveal towards the end of the issue, how Geralt knew what it was and what it means for the story going forward.
The Art: Green’s art is beautifully atmospheric. You felt in the thick of events and the environment through the art and its beautiful details.
