The Rundown: Ransom and Logan go on a personal mission that will reveal some dark secrets.

Monet has a tense meeting with Ellis at Graymalkin Prison where she reveals some of the warden’s darkest fears before making her exit. In Louisiana, Rogue marvels at the family they are creating with their new team and decides to give one of them something that could help. When the kids get ready to go to school, Ransom stays behind after getting an ominous call from his half-brother.

After consulting with Logan and Gambit, the three decide to pay a visit to Argentina to get information. As Logan and Ransom enter a local bar, more of Ransom’s past is revealed as they take on some advanced cult members and are finally confronted by a familiar face to the young mutant.

The Story: I absolutely loved the beginning interlude with Monet and Simone does a fantastic job of showcasing how interesting a character she is while also giving insight into a character that has been a thorn in the X-Men’s side. There is a ticking time bomb element to that scene that I loved. I continue to enjoy seeing these characters grow and evolve and having Ransom and Logan on a mission together makes for some entertaining tension. I also really loved the reveal of Ransom’s backstory and the cliffhanger at the end of the issue.

The Art: Vecchio delivers solid, engaging and beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. I love the style of the characters as well as the amazing action.
