The Rundown: The Outliers face a dark history as Rogue demands answers from her husband.

The Outliers learn the dark truth about the area from Henrietta in the present as the entity within the Dark Artery seems to want Deathdream. In the past, Henrietta faces off against the men who tried to kill her and is found by others like herself who give her the choice of whether to let them live or die. A decision that will have far reaching consequences.
In the present, Rogue returns to Haven House and she and the rest of the X-Men learn that the kids have gone to the graveyard. Remy and Marcus finally tell them the truth and the X-Men race to the city of death known as the Penumbra to rescue their mutant charges while a familiar threat returns to the area.
The Story: Simone continues to craft an evocative, thoughtful and compelling story in this issue. I love the way the story jumps in time and how the moments of the past tease some interesting aspects of mutant lore. I love the rich tapestry of character, history and lore throughout this arc and each character is given some great moments to connect with the reader. I am fully invested in this arc and look forward to seeing where it goes next.
The Art: Marquez delivers stunning art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and how it transitions the characters to their dark, emo forms within the Penumbra.
