The Rundown: Jennifer goes looking for Levi and Pilgrim unleashes something dark on the Earth.

Jennifer pays a visit to an unlikely person hoping to get help in locating and rescuing Levi if he is still alive. A person who has both an intimate knowledge of both the green and the Swamp Thing. Someone who refuses to help her for those exact reasons. Meanwhile, Pilgrim sends a message to the board of his company as Woodrue begins a dangerous procedure that could destabilize the balance of nature.

In a hidden area of the world, a weakened Swamp Thing sits among the plants and protects a single rose. Unfortunately, dark forces are gathering around him, waiting on him to fail. At the same time, Jennifer gets an unexpected visitor who takes her on a mission to find Levi while Pilgrim’s experiment yields a result that will catch the attention of some powerful forces.

The Story: Ram V delivers a wonderful story filled with mood, atmosphere and emotion. The slow buildup of tension was perfect for the style of the story and the mood of the arc. The plot has some brilliant elements throughout and the surprises are brilliantly unveiled as the story keeps its emotional core.

The Art: Perkins illustrates this issue beautifully with a mixture of brilliant details and a visual tone that brings out the emotion and beauty of the story.
