The Rundown: Magus calls in Eliza while Etienne prepares for the consequences of truth.
Masumi thinks back on one of the most terrifying moments of her past and how she is responsible for it and its potential destruction of the planet. As she thinks back on those events, she tells the woman she loves the truth. At the same time, Etienne and Valentina meet to discuss both Masumi and the reality of Heavy having a child with superpowers.
At the same time, the reporter interviewing Heavy gets face time with his heir apparent as the father attempts to assure her that the kid is good. Magus calls Eliza to the pyramid to get her on his side to stand against Etienne and he will reveal a devastating truth to secure her trust.
The Story: Gillen delivers an intense and entertaining story in this issue. Every element of the mystery continues to be compelling and the story is filled with great suspense that builds with each character moment. I love the reveals in the story and how unique and interesting each of the characters continues to be. A great mystery that continues to engage and surprise me with each issue.
The Art: Wijngaard delivers beautifully detailed and compelling art throughout every page and panel of this issue.
