My dad and I love horror films and one of the earliest ones that we watched together (when I was probably too young to really understand it) was the classic 1979 horror thriller Phastasm. The movie, directed by Don Coscarelli is amazing and still draws scares today.  The film, about a reluctatnt hero named Mike and his fight against the mysterious supernatural grave robber known only as The Tall Man spawned four sequels including last years Phantasm: Ravager which featured the final performance of the Angus Scrimm as the iconic villain.

Coming this month, fans can relive the movies and discover new scares in a Six-Disk Box Set called The Phantasm Collection.  The collection features all five frightening films in the series – PHANTASM: REMASTERED (1979),PHANTASM II (1988), PHANTASM III: LORD OF THE DEAD (1994), PHANTASM IV: OBLIVION (1998) and the most recent installment PHANTASM: RAVAGER (2016). The sixth disk features additional vintage and new special material, including the all-new featurette “Phantasm and You,” a comic recap of the first four films by PHANTASM V: RAVAGER director David Hartman and the previously released “Phantasmagoria” a documentary containing new and archival interviews with cast and crew.
