The Rundown: As the days continue for the group, David tries to learn the truth behind their mysterious packages.

The group has been trapped in the house for almost a month and when the food started to run dry, they almost panicked until the first box arrived. Unable to leave the compound, they quickly discovered that if they made requests, they would be fulfilled with the next box that mysteriously showed up at the front door of the house. While David orders more obscure and elaborate things that keep arriving, Ryan camps out at the front of the house hoping to discover who or what is bringing them supplies.

While the rest of the group finds a sense of normalcy, David has an interesting question for the members of the group. A question that no one can seem to answer honestly. To make matters worse, Molly’s requests have not been answered and they become more hopeless and disturbing with each note. When David comes up with a plan to try to help Molly, he decides to confront the group with the questions he has and the truths that he’s discovered while everyone else dismissed him as the loveable goofball. One truth that will change everything about their presence on the lake.

The Story: James Tynion IV brilliantly ramps up the tension by disarming the reader with the focus on David. Everything he does has a cynical, comedic edge to it, but he is one of the only characters that truly challenges the situation the group is in and his insights are well done throughout. I love this series so far and this issue does a wonderful job of keeping the story moving forward in new and different ways right up to the perfectly executed cliffhanger ending.

The Art: Alvaro Martinez Bueno masterfully brings this world to life visually with details and a style that keeps the reader on edge. The art is beautifully detailed and the characters leap off the page.
