The Rundown: The Phantom King is burning the forest and Peter must find help from Tiger Lily.

A confident Peter Pan discovers that his confidence might not be enough to save him as he is seriously injured by the Phantom King and the fairies must quickly remove him from the battlefield to save his life and treat his injuries. At the same time, Wendy continues to deal with her demanding mother’s plans to move up her wedding while she tries to find some moments of lightness with the local kids at the pond.

When Peter is visited by a denizen of the forest, he is told that the Phantom King is headed his way, burning everything in sight. Desperate for help, Peter rushes to Tiger Lily to plead for aid which she grants as her forces meet the Phantom King. Unfortunately, someone within the battle begins to see a shift in reality that could connect Neverland to Wendy.

The Story: Panosian delivers an interesting and entertaining story in this issue. Events are ramping up and so is the tension with Peter and everyone around him. I also like the moments with Wendy and her rebellious moments and how both sides of the story parallel each other. What makes it more interesting are the subtle hints that those two worlds are converging and I look forward to seeing what happens when they do.

The Art: Avallone delivers beautiful art throughout the issue. I love the visual changes between the world of Neverland and the real one Wendy inhabits.
