A demon horde has descended on Hulk and McGee. While Hulk fights to hold off the flood, his old friend Rick Jones steps up to fight by his side. At the same time, Puck and Crusher Creel are moving closer to the location Mr. Mask is holding Bruce Banner.

As Creel steps up, he makes a surprising decision that tips the balance of the battle to Hulk’s favor and when the green behemoth finally confronts the demon, he also finds a moment to confront himself. A confrontation that includes a shocking revelation that will change everything about the relationship between Bruce Banner and the Hulk.

Al Ewing concludes this chapter of the Hulk’s journey with both style and pathos in regards to the relationship between Hulk and Banner. This issue is both dark and uplifting in its tone. The dialogue is amazing because it covers both the psychological as well as the philosophical in ways that elevate the story. There are so many moments in this issue that are well done in regards to unfolding this complex narrative and the ending is both ominous and hopeful.

Joe Bennett goes big with beautifully detailed art. Every panel in this issue is amazing to look at and there is a level of scale to the battles in this issue that are fantastic. This is a great looking issue.
