The Rundown: In what could be the final race between Barry and Thawne, Flash will have to do something he never considered to finally beat his greatest enemy.

Traveling through the Speed Force, Thawne continues to berate and challenge Barry to take the ultimate revenge on Thawne to continue the loop they keep living in. Even after telling Barry how he has played a part in the pain of every member of the Flash Family, Thawne wants Barry to continue to fight him.

Barry decides that the only way to end this conflict is to do something he never thought he could. An act he never thought would be possible considering all the pain Eobard Thawne has caused the world. A decision that could change everything about the Flash past, present and future.

The Story: Joshua Williamson does something I never would have expected with this story and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. When I first saw the panel, I felt it was a little cheesy. But knowing who and what the Flash is and who Barry fights to be, it made sense and the repercussions of his decision set up some really interesting story lines for the character to explore in the future.

The Art: Howard Porter’s art shines in this issue. There are so many great visual moments throughout and the attention to detail is fantastic. The energy Porter brings to the panels is electric and there is a thrilling sense of movement throughout the Flash/Reverse Flash chase.
