The Rundown: Frustrated by his investigation, Strange takes a different approach in the hunt for his own murderer.

Baron Mordo finds himself being confronted by Strange, Wong and Clea at his home. While he is willing to confess to all of the things he has done in his life, he is not willing to admit to killing Stephen Strange. A truth that Strange and the others will have to come to believe before they leave to continue their investigation. As the rest of the heroes deal with the three mothers situation, Strange finds his investigation into his own murder frustrated with time running out.

As Strange contemplates his next move, a couple of friends decide to help him put things into perspective. When Bats gives him something to think about, Strange has an epiphany about who might have murdered him and races back to the Sanctum. In the aftermath, Strange gathers the subjects together and finally reveals who his killer really is. Unfortunately, it might be too late for any of them as the Three Mothers return to feed their hungry child.

The Story: MacKay delivers some great moments in this issue. The confrontation with Mordo was done brilliantly. Strange’s frustration was done well and his connection to both Wong and Clea make the story more engaging. I like how the story takes detective story elements and uses them to uncover the real murderer. I like the killer’s motivation and how it connects to Strange. I cannot wait to see how this story comes to an end.

The Art: Garbett delivers some great art. The characters look great and the emotional moments hold great weight because of the visuals.
