The Rundown: Peter deals with some all too familiar problems and Teresa gets one step closer to the truth.

Agent Teresa Parker confronts the man she thinks is responsible for the deaths of her parents. A man who recounts how he survived his encounter with Spider-Man and found a new purpose. After telling her that he needs her help, he offers to tell her everything she needs to know about her true self.

At the same time, Spider-Man comes to the rescue of his lab partner as a small army of Jack O Lanterns, the Foreigner and other assorted villains fight to steal a powerful device necessary to power a device that could change the fortunes of the one who controls it. After an unexpected betrayal, Spider-Man reaches out to Ned for help and the men who stole the device will discover that there is no honor among thieves.

The Story: Spencer and Brisson craft an exciting story filled with fun, action and humor. There is a great contrast between Peter and Teresa’s stories and that change of tone is well balanced within the plot right up to the point where both plots converge. There is some great dialogue throughout the issue and I enjoyed the twist at the end and how it is perfectly timed.

The Art: Each of the artists deliver some beautiful visuals throughout the issue. There are great action beats, beautiful character designs and detailed backgrounds on every page. A great looking issue from start to finish.
