Kingpin has been patient with his plans and when he discovers that there is something below City Hall that can give him immense power, he tracks it down only to discover that Boomerang has been there first. Enraged, the Mayor of New York vows to bring in his former business partner. As for the man himself, he and Pete are having a great time just hanging out and having fun.

At the same time, the new Electro is brought in to become a member of a new Syndicate. One run by female supervillains with progressive and new ideas about how to innovate the villain market as well as break the glass ceiling. Unsure of this new offer, Electro goes all in when she discovers that their next target as a team is Boomerang.

The Story: Nick Spencer does a clever thing with this issue. He takes Spider-Man out of the equation and makes this a Peter Parker centric story that deals with his new dynamic with Boomerang and both the trouble and benefits that brings. Connecting this story to the other concurrent stories dealing with both Fisk and Kindred is a great idea as well and having those stories interconnect on different levels makes for an enjoyable issue. The Electro story is equally enjoyable and entertaining in its depiction of villains trying to change the game.

The Art: Kev Walker offers some really fun and detailed art in this issue. There is a tone and aesthetic that Walker matches both with the characters and the story and everything works visually.
