The Rundown: Paprika has started to come out of her shell and the wrong people begin to take notice.

Paprika’s ambition rubs her co-workers the wrong way and their jabs at her have the opposite effect when she asserts herself to get ahead. Years later, that assertiveness continues to rattle her staff as her expectations send them scrambling throughout the office. The entire office is in fear of what her reaction will be when she arrives and everything is not up to her standards. So it comes as a huge surprise when Paprika returns to the office a different woman, but not completely different.

After confronting her father about his behavior and his hypocrisy about hers, Paprika decides that there are things and experiences that she needs to catch up on if she hopes to win the heart of the man of her dreams. Unfortunately, Dill spoils her meeting with him and almost reveals the mutually beneficial arrangement he and Paprika have agreed to. An agreement that one of Paprika’s rivals overhears.

The Story: Andolfo continues to craft an entertaining, hilarious and often endearing story of a woman working through her issues to forge a new life for herself. The story runs a range of emotions and keeps the reader engaged with both the plot and the characters. There are a lot of compelling moments amid the comedy and I continue to be impressed with how interesting and original this story is.

The Art: Andolfo’s art style is perfect for this series. The exaggerated character moments and beautiful character designs do a brilliant job of engaging the reader as well as enhancing the comedic elements of the story.
