The Rundown: Superman is brought to the future by Time Trapper and Superboy Prime.

Time Trapper has emerged in Smallville with Superman to team up with Superboy Prime who wants help him save the universe. Prime uses his power to shatter space and time and bring them to the future. In the future, they discover the dead bodies of several members of the Legion of Super Heroes and discover that something in the present is creating a dark future.

After Cosmic Boy finds them, he brings them to the remaining members of the Legion and discover a Brainiac from a world created by Darkseid. In order to find a possible solution, they need to locate Booster Gold. Unfortunately, freeing Booster Gold will reveal the Darkseid Legion and that Superboy Prime might not be as reformed as he led others to believe.

The Story: Williamson delivers a dark and intense mystery throughout this issue. I love the interpersonal conflict between Superman and Superboy Prime as well as the dark tone of the story and the future. There are some intense moments throughout the story and the action and thrills lead to a fantastic cliffhanger that makes me excited to see where the story goes next.

The Art: Mora crafts some beautiful art on every page of this issue. I love Mora’s art style and how it balances awesome action with beautifully detailed characters and environments.
