supergirl-28-page-5

As Supergirl fights against Hokum’s clones of her, the rest of her allies have to deal with the cloned members of their team as well. The battle is brutal and Kara is running out of strength. She turns to one of her friends for help and he gives her a solar charge in a very unexpected way.

As the battle continues, Z’Ndr and Krypto continue to search the galaxy looking for Kara so that he can warn her about his mother. Hokum faces a reckoning with Kara regarding the clones and when he escapes into the waiting arms of Gandelo, he finds that the price of failure is high. As the rest of the Circle worries about Kara’s investigation getting closer to them, Gandelo decides to release a new threat to stop her. A threat loyal to Rogol Zaar and his mission.

This is a thrilling and satisfying conclusion to this arc. Marc Andreyko delivers some great mystery and character development for Kara and her supporting cast. It continues to be interesting to see the lengths The Circle will go to in order to protect their part in the destruction of Krypton and it will be even more interesting to see Kara put the pieces of the puzzle together. Even with all the action, adventure and humor, Andreyko crafts an engaging thriller in this issue and arc. It will be fun to see where he goes next.

Eduardo Pansica delivers some stunning art in this issue with great action and fight sequences that are truly thrilling.
