The Rundown: Six prepares to make her escape, but can she ever really be free?

Number Six has finally decided that it is time to leave Hawkins Lab. Unfortunately, she’s not going to be able to do it alone. She recruits Ricky and one of the twins to help her and when she’s admitted to the infirmary, she sees her chance to finally get away. Visions of an oncoming danger continue to fuel her desire to leave.

Fortunately for the trio, the intervention of a unknown armed woman searching for her missing daughter is exactly the kind of distraction Six needs to make her move. As she and the others make their way out of the facility, a new vision prompts Six to see if she can actually change her fate.

The Story: Jody Houser ends this limited series with some great nods to the series itself and the bigger storyline surrounding Hawkins Lab. Six’s story has been compelling throughout and it is interesting to see how Houser decides to end this journey. It was unexpected, but it was a welcome surprise because there is a finality to it that makes the story more interesting. I really enjoyed the characters and the way the story unfolds with the characters and the dialogue.

The Art: Edgar Salazar delivers some impressive and detailed art in this issue. It looked great and the action was beautifully rendered.
