The Rundown: Doyle Dormammu deals with his newly not dead status as the other students get a lesson from a familiar face.

Doyle has been brought back to the land of the living and must face not only his new reality, but the fact that the prophecy of him destroying everyone alongside his father might still be in the cards. At the same time, his classmates find themselves out in deep space to get a lesson from Rocket and Groot about magical forces that don’t originate on Earth. A field trip that is going to get real dangerous, real fast.

Back on Earth, Agatha Harkness teaches a class in replicating that will have some unexpected consequences for one of the students. When Doctor Strange arrives, he decides that he needs to have a talk with Emily about the events that brought Doyle back to life. After their meeting, Emily finds her return trip to school interrupted by a message from someone deep within the Sanctum Sanctorum. Someone with an agenda.

The Story: Young does a great job of contrasting the story between high adventurous fun and dark, serious storytelling. The characters continue to be the standout and their struggles, both personal and interpersonal are engaging as a reader. I like the dynamics between them and how they interact with each other. It’s a testament to the writing that there is a natural feeling of youth to the storytelling.

The Art: Humberto Ramos does an amazing job with the art in the issue. There are so many great visual moments throughout from the characters to the action.
