The Rundown: With Daniel a part of the town, the people aching for change will take a bold step forward.

Daniel is now a part of the town of Stillwater and his mother has taken him to a welcoming party thrown by the doctor and other members of the town. With the group gathered, they tell Daniel of their intentions to lobby the Judge to allow them to change the town’s policy of keeping everyone out. With Daniel there, they believe they have the numbers to force the Judge’s hand, but Daniel is not convinced.

At the meeting of the town council, the doctor calls for a vote and receives the numbers necessary, but the Judge has other ideas and calls for deputies to use force to disperse the crowd. An act that causes one of the townspeople to commit a desperate act. At the same time, with the sheriff gone, Ted enacts his own plan. One that will bring an even worse menace to the town of Stillwater.

The Story: Zdarsky adds more intrigue and twists to this issue and the story becomes more intense because of it. The plot moves really well and Zdarsky does a great job of using the rising tension to engage the reader. I continue to be impressed with the story, its characters and its premise. Everything works and even the surprises are intriguing. I cannot wait to see where this story goes next.

The Art: Ramon K Perez does an amazing job with the art in this issue. There are some great visual moments and the panels reflect the mood and tension of the story.
