Stephen King adaptations continue to make their way to the big and small screen and as a fan, I cannot be more excited at the times we find ourselves in.

The novella 1922 was originally published in King’s anthology novel Full Dark, No Stars in 2010 and tells the story of a farmer in Hemingford Home, Nebraska named Wilfred James. Wilfred lives on land that has been in his family for generations along with his wife and son. When his wife decides she wants to sell the land she owns adjacent and move to the city, Wilfred murders his wife in order to stay on the land. Unfortunately, the act causes Wilfred to fall into a world of madness and supernatural revenge.

The trailer is haunting and has all the hallmarks of a great psychological thriller. It also boasts an amazing cast including Thomas Jane (The Expanse), Molly Parker (House of Cards), Neal McDonough (Arrow) and Dylan Schmid (Once Upon A Time). The movie is written and directed by Zak Hilditch (These Final Hours).
