The Rundown: The Jedi take the fight to the heart of the Drengir, but will it be enough to stop the creatures?
As the Republic prepares for the upcoming fair, the Jedi have their hands full with the Drengir invasion. After discovering the location of the root mind on Mulita, every Jedi available is dispatched to fight the creatures alongside the Hutts. The Jedi and Hutts seem to getting the upper hand and Avar Kriss scouts ahead to take on the Root Mind itself when Keeve Trennis and Orla Jareni arrive to tell the Jedi they need to change tactics.
The two Jedi immediately get to work fighting alongside their comrades, but Keeve knows something is wrong and that Avar has walked into a trap. A trap the root mind devised to use Avar’s connection to the force against her fellow Jedi.
The Story: Scott crafts a great adventure in this issue. There are multiple moments that make me happy as a Star Wars fan and the story is both hopeful and exciting. I loved the dialogue between the characters and Scott does a great job of balancing the story elements to an awesome cliffhanger ending that makes me want to read more.
The Art: Anindito produces some exceptional art throughout this issue. Every page is filled with beautiful details and energy.
