The tension on all sides is increasing as Tula confronts Luke about the distress beacon he sent out, Han gets into a scrape with one of the locals and Leia continues to plan her revenge.

Han’s issue with one of the locals leads to an old-time gunslinger duel and Solo is going to end the conflict in his own special way.

The budding romance between Luke and Tula takes a hit when she confronts him about the danger that his impatience has put them all in. A danger that manifests itself that night at dinner when a ship lands on Hubin. A ship carrying the Rebel’s worst nightmare.

Luke’s attitude is definitely one of the biggest liabilities to the rebels at this point. His lack of patience puts everyone at risk and Gillen does a great job of showcasing how green the future Jedi really is. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the Han Solo moments in this issue and this storyline. Gillen has captured the rogue spirit of Han Solo in this issue both in his attitude and actions. Han is carefree and fun and those moments break a lot of the tension in this issue.

Leia’s hostility towards Queen Trios isn’t subtle and it’s nice to see that she is using her time on Hubin to plan her next encounter with the Queen. As a reader of the series, this is definitely a storyline that I want to see play out.

I continue to be fascinated with Thane and Tula, especially their connections to the Jedi and Thane’s past. He’s being developed into an interesting and layered character. I enjoy the fact that we got a tease of who he was right before their uninvited guests arrived.

Angel Unzueta’s art is fantastic. Not only do the characters look amazing, but there are some great, detailed backgrounds that demand the reader’s attention.
