The Rundown: Luke goes chasing after a dangerous revelation while Leia deals with some dangerous diplomacy.

A downed pilot gives Luke Skywalker the secret to a lost Jedi relic on a planet outside of the Republic. With little time and no warning to the other members of his squad, Luke takes to his X-Wing and heads to the planet Gadrilam. After hearing about the disappearance of her brother, Leia and Mon Mothma return their attention to the new growing threat to their fleet.

On the planet, Luke pays a visit to the local town and gets mixed up in a brawl with some locals who are keeping the smuggler he seeks captive. After dispatching them and securing help from another local, Luke discovers the smuggler and the relic he’s looking for, but his presence has caused the criminals who run the planet to turn on the people of the town in his absence.

The Story: Segura crafts a complicated and interesting story in this issue. There is a great sense of immediacy to the actions of the characters and the story has a great narrative flow that kept me engaged as it weaves its mysteries. The action is fun and I like the contrast between Luke’s action-based adventure and Leia’s political intrigue.

The Art: Noto delivers some great art in the issue. The visuals are fun, beautifully detailed and capture the tone and mood of the story well.
