The Rundown: The Starfleet officers on the surface of a dangerous planet are dropping like flies as they try to protect important information.

Cromarty continues to watch the area with DeMatrio as they wait for the spies to arrive to take the data being used to lure them in. The remaining members of the away team are waiting in the facility for any news as they watch the area as well and when they finally get visual on the spies, they head out to bring them in.
Unfortunately, their mission runs into an indigenous creature who is hard to kill and the spies who are highly skilled. As several more members of the team are killed, Miller tries to help his colleagues while remembering the last deadly mission he was on where he was the only survivor.
The Story: Cantwell continues to create some great, dark and entertaining moments in this issue. I am really enjoying this darker look at the world of Star Trek through the eyes of these characters as we get to learn more about them, their motivations and aspirations right before life and death come calling. There were some unexpected surprises throughout the issue and some deaths I did not expect. Everything culminates in a great issue that makes me interested in seeing what happens next.
The Art: Levens delivers stunning imagery throughout the issue. I love the visuals, the character designs and the thrills of the action.
