The Rundown: A group of Starfleet security personnel will find themselves on a dangerous mission where death is likely.

Ensign Chip Miller is one of the lucky red shirts that survives a dangerous mission and has the scars to prove it. His ability to survive makes him the perfect candidate for a dangerous mission for Starfleet. A mission that will require the cooperation of a veteran security officer who might be the oldest red shirt in the fleet.
The other security officers are assembled and are told that they will have to make a dangerous descent to the planet’s surface to wait for spies to come and retrieve sensitive data from an outpost. A mission that will bring this group of red shirts into immediate danger from a familiar foe.
The Story: Cantwell crafts an interesting and entertaining story about what could be considered the running joke of Star Trek, the Red Shirts. The issue starts off with a particularly brutal moment and proceeds to assemble more characters before putting them into a dark and dangerous situation. I actually really enjoyed the tone of this story and how that tone and the reality of these characters adds a layer of dark humor to everything that happens to them.
The Art: Levens delivers stunning art throughout the issue. The visuals have a fantastic visual style and are beautifully detailed.
