The Rundown: With the cleaners in town to sanitize it and its people, Erica must find a way to stop the remaining creatures.

With the townspeople trapped in the gym, Erica has one chance to stop the creatures attacking the town before the order murders all the witnesses. In order to do that she will have to lure the monsters to her location. A proposition made more dangerous by the fact that she has to use her personal monster and the children she’s been protecting to do it. Using a technique she learned from the Order, Erica uses the kids to recreate the creature through her monster as a means of using it to lure its offspring to her location.

At the same time, the order is rounding up the citizens in the gym in order to end the threat once and for all. When Tommy’s mother refuses to go and waits for the death she believes is coming, Tommy decides that the best way to end the story is by creating a new one. One that will hopefully spare the town and his mother.

The Story: James Tynion IV does a great job of raising the stakes for the characters and ramping up the suspense for the reader. The plot is incredibly engaging and all of the characters are interesting. The danger has weight throughout and every moment with Erica and the kids is filled with great emotion and character development.

The Art: Dell’edera does some amazing work with the art in this issue. Each page is filled with beautiful details and the action is filled with energy.
