The Rundown: Violet wants Sophie to join the sorority so they can get revenge for Violet’s murder.

In their past together, Violet has a violent interaction with her sister that leaves the woman scarred and brings the two girls closer together. In the present, Sophie is told by the ghost of Violet that she needs to rush the sorority in order to get inside and bring them down. Sophie refuses, but a visit from Violet’s sister changes her mind.

Sophie decides to rush the sorority and the head of the chapter Karma is convinced that having Sophie in the sorority will take away some of the heat from the rest of them in the wake of Violet’s death. While Sophie believes they are looking for justice, Violet takes her first step in revenge against another member of the sorority.

The Story: Maytal Zchut crafts a fun, dark and entertaining story in this issue. I love the tension between Vi and Sophie and how there is a growing toxic undertone to their relationship. I like that Zchut is taking a slow burn approach to the storytelling and giving the plot a chance to grow its tension and thrills. I really enjoyed the final moments of the issue and what they mean for the story going forward.

The Art: Leiz delivers stunning imagery throughout the issue. I love the art and how it captures and enhances the tone and mood of the story.
