The Rundown: An attack on a planet forces the original Silverhawks out of retirement.

On the planet of the Mimes, two officers are investigating possible smugglers when there is an attack from Windhammer who uses his power to cause massive environmental damage. At the same time, Quicksilver continues his training at Hawk Haven, but the original Silverhawks doubt he is ready to be in the field when the call for help comes in.

Stargazer decides to send his old friends out to bring down Windhammer and they manage to stop him. Unfortunately, his attack was part of a bigger plan that includes sending a brutal and deadly message to Stargazer from Mon*Star himself.

The Story: Brisson crafts a dark and impressive story in this issue. This is definitely not a kids story as tension builds to a bloody and brutal climax. I love the direction this story is taking and how Brisson showcases just how dangerous Mon*Star can be. The story has some great action and thrills throughout as it brilliantly builds its world and the characters that will become a part of it. I am invested in this series and cannot wait to see what happens next.

The Art: Kambadais delivers great art throughout the issue. The art is beautifully layered and filled with great character designs and world building.
