Deron GenerallyPsych returns with an all new original movie coming to NBC’s streaming service Peacock.
Psych 2: Lassie Come Home is written by series star James Roday alongside Andy Berman and Psych creator Steve Franks. It reunites Roday with Dule Hill’s Gus and the rest of the series cast including Maggie Lawson, Kirsten Nelson and Corbin Bernsen. According to a synopsis in EW:
In Psych 2, the San Francisco-based crime solvers head back to their old stomping ground after Lassiter (Timothy Omundson) is attacked and left for dead. While recuperating, Lassiter starts seeing seemingly impossible happenings around his recovery clinic, and of course Shaun and Gus step in to investigate the potentially supernatural occurrences.
Omundson suffered a stroke before production began so it’s gratifying to see him in this first teaser trailer reacting to be in the presence of Shaun and Gus again. Joining the cast for this new film will be Joel McHale, Jimmi Simpson, Sarah Chalke, Kadeem Hardison, Roday’s A Million Little Things costar Allison Miller, and Hill’s former West Wing costar Richard Schiff.
