The fallout from Malcolm’s gift to Angel continues to affect everyone as Malcolm continues to heal from his fight with Scourge. At the same time, the man behind the Sex Dolls attack decides to inject himself with Malcolm’s blood despite all the warnings about the side effects. After breaking into the Dragon’s home and attacking Malcolm, those side effects take over and there is a massive amount of clean up to follow.

The fallout from Maxine’s actions at the Bachelorette Party continue as well when Malcolm starts to think about the impact her actions could have on their kids. To make matters worse, Malcolm has an interview with someone who had history with his father. Things get more intense when an army of demons decides this is the perfect opportunity to invade the city and go after Dragon and his wife.

There is so much to love about this issue. Larsen is great at keeping the story moving at a good pace while mixing both humor and action. There are some great character moments in this issue, but this particular issue does a really good job of being fun and interesting. I enjoyed the fact that Larsen builds up the side characters as well and I want to see more of Scourge’s rise to power.

Larsen’s art is great as well. The action scenes work and my favorite page in the issue is a composition shot of Maxine in the foreground with the rest of his family and friends in the background. It’s such a great shot that incorporates some of the great aspects of the series and the issue itself.
