The Rundown: David will learn more about his past as the present comes looking for him.

David continues his studies as he prepares to enter the machine that will help him fight back against a world evolved to kill all organic life. As he gets ready to being the upload, Chloe tells him some hard truths about not only his past, but how the experiment he is about to conduct has failed in the past. She also prepares him for the knowledge of how he caused the world to be the way it is now.

After beginning the upload, David sees a vision of the events that caused the downfall of humanity. Overwhelmed by what he experienced, he wants to be alone, but his activities draw the attention of the machines who are looking for him and working to kill him. David, Chloe and Clif must escape into the wild, but nowhere is safe for him in a dead world.

The Story: The premise of this story continues to be incredibly interesting and this issue dives deeper into interpersonal conflicts and relationships, which is good. While there are still things about the world and the characters that need to be revealed to make the story more compelling, this issue keeps me interested in the bigger story with plot points that are well done and expansive.

The Art: Rebelka delivers some impressive imagery in this issue. Each page is filled with great details and the style is perfect for the type of story being told. I loved the look of this issue and how that style evolves with the different parts of the story.
