The Rundown: Duncan and company will discover there are other dangers in this new world besides Arthur and his army.

Bridget and company head to the Grail Castle to find a way to stop Arthur and fix the world. At the same time, Arthur and Merlin find themselves across a field looking at another who claims to be the true king. Arthur calls forth his hordes to attack as the pretender prepares to take them on. As Duncan, Bridget and Rose enter the castle, Rose wants to find her missing parents. A prospect that Bridget is opposed to given where they are located. After a tense confrontation, Duncan confronts his grandmother and wants to know the truth about her relationship with his mother.

After another tense conversation where Duncan learns more about his purpose and what his grandmother wanted for him, Bridget makes a decision. One that will put them all at risk, but might prove the woman has a heart after all. As she leaves instructions to the group, the mysterious warrior gets the better of Arthur’s army and his presence gives Galahad pause. As Duncan’s group makes it to Bath, they discover that the city has a bigger problem than Arthur. A problem that is leaving devastation in its wake.

The Story: Gillen continues to craft a beautifully detailed and compelling story in this issue. Not only do the scope, scale and action keep you engaged, but the character relationships are rich and interesting as well. The dialogue is fantastic and the character conflicts continue to be well done throughout. I love the way the stories contrast and cannot wait to see what happens next.

The Art: Dan Mora dazzles with the art in this issue. The action is beautiful and full of vibrant energy and the characters look amazing.
