Claire Foy brought Queen Elizabeth to life in the Netflix drama The Crown. The actress managed to secure a Best Actress Emmy nomination and awards for Best Actress from the Golden Globes and the Screen Actors Guild.

Foy’s turn as Elizabeth will continue in the second season of the critically acclaimed series this December. At the end of the second season, Foy will leave the series at the end of the second season and series creator Peter Morgan has announced who will succeed the actress in the role.

According to Variety, actress Olivia Colman has been brought on board to play Elizabeth in the third and fourth seasons of The Crown. Olivia Colman is known for her roles on the big screen in comedies like Hot Fuzz and The Lobster. She’s also known for her episodic roles on series like Broadchurch and The Night Manager, for which she earned a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress as well as an Emmy nomination.

Season 2 of The Crown is set to premiere December 8th on Netflix.
