After Mr. Dee revealed a possible secret to her past, Naomi wants answers. Her relentless drive to get them causes the local mechanic to throw the young woman out of his shop and head for the hills.
Naomi isn’t satisfied with not knowing and her frustration becomes a conversation between she and her adoptive parents. They do their best, but they don’t have any answers either for her.
As another Superman incident plays out somewhere in the world, Naomi continues to wonder what secrets Mr. Dee is hiding and when she discovers that he has a connection to the metahuman prison Iron Heights, a sleepless Naomi decides to venture out to the town and check out Dee’s shop. What she finds there will open up more mysteries and create new questions that need to be answered.
The mystery in this issue continues to grow and Bendis and Walker do a great job of pacing the drama. Naomi continues to be an interesting and engaging character and Bendis and Walker keep the story character focused. The plot is filled with tension and suspense and you find yourself wanting to believe that there is a deeper mystery to Naomi’s life and what that could possibly be.
Jamal Campbell’s art is fantastic. There are so many beautifully detailed panels and there is a lot to catch the eye of the reader.
