Science and adventure icons Kari Byron and Tory Belleci are reuniting for a brand-new podcast that brings their signature chemistry, curiosity, and explosive humor to the world of podcasts. Mythfits is set to debut June 2, and it’s produced and distributed by Pionaire Podcast Network.
Hosted by Byron and Belleci, Mythfits reunites the longtime collaborators as they revisit behind-the-scenes stories from their MythBusters days, explore bizarre theories, and dive into experiments and curiosities across science, history, and culture. Each episode invites listeners to off-the-record conversations fans always wanted to hear.
“Kari and I are teaming up for a new podcast called Mythfits,” said Belleci. “It’s everything fans loved about the MythBusters mayhem—plus behind-the-scenes stories, experiments that never aired, and all the chaos you didn’t see. If you’re a fan of the madness, you’re going to love this.”

Belleci is a television personality and model maker best known for his work on MythBusters and his eight-year long tenure at George Lucas’ Industrial Light & Magic working on films such as Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, Star Wards: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, The Matrix trilogy, Van Helsing and Bicentennial Man.
“After decades of working together on wild and weird projects from blowing stuff up to scraping chicken guts off the ceiling, Tory is my favorite person to laugh and wax nostalgic with.” Byron said. “I always thought the real show wasn’t what y’all saw on tv but what happened when the cameras were off. I am so excited for the Mythfits Podcast!”
Byron is a longtime television host and science communicator whose credits include MythBusters, White Rabbit Project, and Crash Test World. In 2024, Byron co-founded the National STEM Festival, alongside EXPLR’s co-founder Jenny Buccos and the U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Education.
“Kari Byron and Tory Belleci went from blowing things up on MythBusters to blowing minds with their upcoming audio and video podcast, Mythfits,” said Mike Morse, President of Pionaire Podcast Network. “We’re thrilled to partner with Kari and Tory, who are armed with just enough knowledge to be dangerous—and deliver laughs while challenging everything you think you know about life.”
The series marks the latest original project for Pionaire, a boutique talent network founded by radio industry leader Bert Weiss, known for talent-first, development driven approach to audio storytelling.
“Having helped shepherd Kari and Tory’s incredible journeys for almost two decades, I’m absolutely ecstatic to say that of all the projects we have going on currently, ‘Mythfits’ truly captures the magic that made the world fall in love with them. Watching these two brilliant minds reunite feels like coming home—it’s the culmination of years of friendship, creativity, and scientific wonder that makes my heart full. And I know Grant is somewhere smiling!” stated Dr. David Swift from crowdMGMT, who has represented the duo for 18 yrs.
