The Falcon and Winter Soldier limited series looks to be one of the most anticipated shows coming to Disney+ and it looks like the new series is going to feature some more familiar faces.

Anthony Mackie (Falcon) and Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier) are already confirmed for the six part miniseries which is being written by Malcolm Spellman (Empire) and directed by Kari Scogland (The Handmaid’s Tale). The series is expected to take place after the events of Avengers Endgame and according to Deadline, two additional MCU stars are in talks to appear.

Daniel Bruhl is in talks to return as Zemo in the upcoming series. Zemo made his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War. He used his skills and intellect to drive a wedge between the Marvel heroes using Bucky “Winter Soldier” Barnes to do it. He was last seen in custody. It will be interesting to see how he factors into the new season.

Emily Van Camp made her first appearance in Captain America: Winter Soldier as Steve’s neighbor and undercover SHIELD agent Sharon Carter. She also appeared in Civil War as a government agent. Her appearance will most likely be in response to Zemo’s presence.

While the two stars are still “in negotiations”, it’s exciting to think that the miniseries could have the heroes take on such a formidable enemy again.

The Falcon and Winter Soldier is set for release August 2020 on Disney+
