The Rundown: Moonshine returns to an empty house while Amethyst has an adventure of her own.

After learning more about the origins of Moonshine Bigfoot, the story of Amethyst is featured as she is dropped off as a baby at a carnival. What no one knows is that it is a carnival of criminals. After spending years learning about different elements of crime and becoming an expert, she discovers that the carnival has captured Moonshine and she helps him escape after falling in love with him.
In the present, Moonshine returns home to see his girl, but is warned to stay home as Amethyst finds herself being captured by the group hunting her boyfriend. At the same time, Moonshine gets attacked by the updated sheriff and barely makes it out alive.
The Story: Marlow and Howard deliver a fun, funny and thrilling story in this issue. I continue to love the fun vibes of this story and really enjoyed seeing Amethyst’s story featured because it shows how capable she is as a character and is much more than the main character’s hippie girlfriend. I really love the action in the issue and it ends on a great cliffhanger that makes me excited to see what happens next.
The Art: Ellis delivers some beautifully detailed and visually compelling art throughout the issue.
